Speech & Drama Teacher
Áine Keegan is a fully qualified teacher and holds an Associate Diploma in Drama Teaching with the Leinster School of Music and Drama (LSMD) and is a member of the Speech & Drama Teachers of Ireland Association. She studied Speech & Drama at ITW as a teenager before she received a scholarship to study Musical Theatre Performance in the prestigious Colin’s Performing Arts Academy in England. She was the first ever student to receive the Sheila Murphy Scholarship to study for an HDip in Drama in Education at Griffith College Dublin.
Áine is an experienced Creative Drama, Speech & Drama, Singing and Musical Theatre teacher facilitating for the ages of 4yrs to adults at ITW. Several of her students have been nominated for Excellence Awards with the examining body the LSMD and have been extremely successful in castings for theatres including The Abbey and The Gate Theatre and appear in many TV commercials and shows.
Áine has performed in showcases in London and also as part of her musical theatre training has starred in amateur productions in London and Dublin. She is also in demand as a Director by many schools in Dublin for whom she has directed and produced several musical productions including Guys and Dolls and Sister Act. She is trained in child protection, child welfare and first aid.
