Louise Melinn Drama teacher

Louise Melinn is a playwright from Dublin. She is Co- Artistic Director of ChalkTalk Theatre Company, founded in December 2012 to produce new writing and a member of White Label - a theatre collective established in 2014 to support new work. Louise’s love for drama, dance and singing began when she started in ITW many moons ago. After ITW Louise went on to attain a BA in Drama Performance from DIT and an M.Phil in Theatre and Performance from Trinity College. She was a participant on The Abbey Theatre’s Playwrights Programme (2010) The Stewart Parker Trust writer’s week in 2011, The Next Stage in association with the Dublin Theatre Festival 2012. She recently graduated as a drama facilitator from NAYD’s ArtsTrain course (2015)

Her writing credits include Billy (rehearsed reading, Abbey Theatre’s New Playwrights Programme, 2011); You Can’t Just Leave, There’s Always Something (co-writer, Spilt Gin Theatre Company, Absolut Fringe, 2011), nominated for three Fringe awards including Best New Writing; Squat (Solstice, Cork Midsummer Festival, 2012); The King’s Feet (co-writer, ChalkTalk Theatre Company, Dublin Fringe Festival 2013)
