Heather trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland- one of the world’s top performing arts education institutions. In her third year she specialised in the study of Theatre In Education and went on to gain her Post Graduate Certificate of Education from Strathclyde University. She has been a practitioner of the delivery of Drama to students in a variety of settings ever since. Her career has spanned 28 years and in that time she has taught students in Primary, Secondary and Special Education Schools as well as bringing up her own 3 children! Before moving from Scotland to Dublin she was the Head of the Drama Department within the Faculty of Expressive Arts at Madras College in St Andrews, Fife - a post which she held for 8 years. During this time she saw many of her students leave to pursue their study of Drama and Musical Theatre further and she remains in touch with many of them. She has a vast knowledge of theatre and enjoys being surrounded by young people. Her natural enthusiasm for the subject has never waned and she takes maximum delight in aiding children and young adults extend their appreciation and practice of the art form.
She is delighted to have joined the team at ITW and is enjoying the opportunity to be working in such a busy and vibrant environment.
