Katie is a singer, vocal coach and performing arts teacher from Dublin. After an involvement in theatre and dance from the age of 3, she was accepted to study Musical Theatre in the Royal Irish Academy of Music where she received extensive vocal and performance training. As a young adult she played roles such as Dorothy, Fantine and Sandy, acting in various theatre productions around Dublin. For third level education she studied at The BIMM Institute, receiving a BA in Commercial Modern Music with a focus on Vocal Performance.
Since leaving college Katie has taught Drama, Musical Theatre and Vocals in various schools, teaching students from 3 to 80! She continues to direct musical theatre showcases for Irelands top theatre schools, directs a 40 member community choir and has worked as a Musical Director for productions such as Grease, Peter Pan and Beauty and the Beast.
Katie has a love for vocal science and health, and keeps up to date with the latest research to support her work as a vocal coach. Working one on one with students, she aims to demystify the intricacies of vocal technique to help her students achieve their desired sound and control over their instrument in a fun and supportive environment.
Alongside teaching, Katie continues to perform on a regular basis as a lead and backing vocalist for original artists for Live TV, Radio, festival and live performances around the country and abroad, as well as a vocal arranger and backing vocalist in studio and live recording environments.
