Singing Studio Classes
Unlock your potential as a singer and unleash your inner performer at The Independent Theatre Workshop- Clonskeagh and Drumcondra.
With a unique approach that places equal emphasis on technique and performance, our singing classes are designed to nurture and develop your musical talents in a supportive and inspiring environment.
We believe in providing tailored instruction to cater to the diverse needs of our students. Our one hour classes take a maximum of 10 Juniors, 6 Inters or 4 Senior students. This setting allows for individual attention while fostering a collaborative and encouraging atmosphere. The more experienced and advanced singers are recommended to take private 30 minute lessons allowing them to fully prepare for Junior and Leaving Cert Practicals, College Auditions and advance exams. Our experienced singing tutors guide students through the fundamentals of singing, building a solid foundation of vocal technique and musical understanding.
We are especially proud of our exam results which are always outstanding - with Clarice Makarevitch winning the Leinster School of Music & Drama All Ireland Excellence Award for Music in 2021 and Matthew Nolan winning it in 2022.

Junior Singing
Designed specifically for a group setting, Junior singing classes expand on theory and repertoire. Emphasis is placed on correct breathing (intercostal diaphragmatic) and placement of the jaw, tongue, and mouth. Juniors work together on musical theatre and standard music,
Young adults singing 4th-6th year
At The Independent Theatre Workshop, we are committed to the holistic development of our students, nurturing their talent, and preparing them for the future. We understand the significance of tailored instruction, personalized guidance, and performance opportunities in shaping the musical journey of young adults. Join us and embrace the world of singing as you prepare for exams, auditions, and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.
Both male and female voices are in a state of changing and settling during this phase. Vocal training can start to get more serious after the voice has changed. Every student’s instrument is different, especially at the Senior level.
Inter Singing 4th-6th Class
Inter level classes offer both group and solo work. Technique, breathing, and preparation for serious vocal training take precedence in the group warm up and theory work.
Adults singing
Singing at ITW places equal emphasis on technique and performance. Older students who are on higher grades, preparing for college auditions or who just want to sing better in the shower! are encouraged to take private lessons.
Vocal Vibes
We are excited to introduce Vocal Vibes, our brand-new singing club starting this September! Time and Day to be confirmed. Vocal Vibes is the perfect place for students to have fun, enhance their vocal skills, and engage in various performances and competitions. Vocal Vibes will be on in Clonskeagh but we are happy to have students from Drumcondra too!!
