We believe in providing tailored instruction to cater to the diverse needs of our students. Our one hour classes take a maximum of 10 Juniors, 6 Inters or 4 Senior students. Group Singing Classes

In our group singing classes, we give students of all ages the chance to develop their voices in a fun, supportive, and collaborative environment. From pre-schoolers exploring songs and rhythm to older students building technique and performance skills, we combine small-group learning with focused guidance to help every singer grow and enjoy making music together.

  • Our Pre-School Singing classes are designed for young children in Junior and Senior Infants, providing a fun and engaging introduction to music. Over 30-minute sessions, students explore basic musical concepts such as rhythm, pitch, and melody through playful songs and interactive activities.

These classes focus on developing early singing skills, encouraging children to listen, imitate, and experiment with their voices in a supportive environment. By learning songs and simple musical games, students build confidence, coordination, and an enjoyment of singing from an early age.

Pre-School Singing is all about fun, creativity, and discovery, giving children a strong foundation for future musical learning while fostering a love of music that can grow with them.

  • Junior singing classes focus on building strong vocal foundations in a group setting, including breathing technique, vocal placement, and basic performance skills through musical theatre and standard repertoire. Students also develop musical phrasing, interpretation, and character work.

At this level, students start to take group exams with the Irish Board of Speech and Drama, where they perform songs and demonstrate an understanding of context, technique, and character with their classmate. Solo exams are an option at this age.

  • Inter group singing classes build on core skills while introducing more focused vocal training in a supportive group setting. Students work on technique, breathing, and performance, while also having the chance to develop a solo song each week with guidance from their teacher. Musical theatre remains a key focus, alongside other styles, helping students grow in confidence and expression.

At this stage, students may begin taking solo exams with the Leinster School of Music and Drama, developing skills in vocal technique, performance, and basic research. They also have opportunities to take part in productions, allowing them to apply their learning on stage in a fun and encouraging environment.

  • Senior singing classes focus on more serious vocal development as students’ voices mature and settle. Training is tailored to each individual, with an emphasis on choosing suitable repertoire, building strong technique, and developing a versatile voice through both musical theatre and classical styles.

Students often work towards higher-level exams with the Leinster School of Music and Drama, particularly from Grade 4 onwards, with many also preparing for Junior Cert practicals or performances.

Alongside their training, senior students have opportunities to take part in musical productions and professional performances, helping them apply their skills on stage while gaining confidence and experience in a supportive environment.

  • At ITW, our Young Adult singing classes offer small, focused group sessions for students aged 16 and above, combined with our new hybrid format. Each week, students receive one-on-one attention through two 30-minute private sessions—one before and one after the group lesson—rotating so every student gets regular individual coaching.

Classes focus on serious vocal training as voices approach maturity, covering classical, musical theatre, and pop repertoire while emphasizing vocal health, technique, and performance skills. Private lessons are ideal for Leaving Certificate preparation, higher-grade exams with the Leinster School, and college audition readiness.

Students also have opportunities to perform in the Senior Musical Theatre Company and collaborate with professional organisations such as Irish National Opera. Beginners are warmly welcomed, and our supportive environment nurtures talent, confidence, and versatility, preparing students for exams, auditions, and professional musical opportunities.

Private Singing

We offer private singing lessons that provide focused, one-on-one coaching tailored to each student’s goals and abilities. We help students refine their technique, build confidence, and develop a strong, versatile voice. In every lesson, we work on breath control, projection, vocal support, and interpretation to ensure each performance is expressive and technically secure.

For students preparing for Leinster School of Music and Drama exams, we guide them through musical theatre repertoire, including solo and duet performance, character work, staging, and optional choreography. We also cover mime, drama, and musical understanding, helping students perform with confidence while meeting the technical requirements of their exams.

We support Junior and Leaving Certificate practical music students, helping them select, prepare, and polish pieces to the highest standard. Throughout the year, we run specialist courses and workshops, including Music Theory, Audition Preparation, Acting the Song, and sessions with guest teachers, giving students extra opportunities to grow their skills and enjoy performing.

Vocal Vibes

Vocal Vibes is a brand-new singing club launching this September in Clonskeagh, open to students from 1st class through to 6th Year, including those from Drumcondra. The club focuses on creating a fun, energetic, and inclusive space where students can develop their vocal, dance, and performance skills while expressing themselves freely. With no auditions required, everyone is welcome to join, and sessions are designed to be enjoyable and collaborative, allowing students to contribute song ideas and shape the experience together.

Led by experienced vocal coach Andrew Dawson, Vocal Vibes offers exciting opportunities such as optional participation in choir competitions and charity events, all without pressure. The emphasis is firmly on enjoyment rather than exams or formal assessments, giving students a chance to build confidence, connect with others, and simply enjoy singing in a supportive environment.
