Performance Opportunities
At ITW there are several performance groups that give students the chance to develop their skills and perform on stage. There are three main drama groups: the Young Dramatic Arts Theatre Company, the Musical Theatre Company, and the Shakespeare Company. The Young Dramatic Arts Theatre Company helps young actors, directors and technicians build their skills through workshops and productions. The Musical Theatre Company focuses on performing musicals, allowing students to combine acting, singing and dancing. The Shakespeare Company performs the works of Shakespeare and has taken part in the Schools Shakespeare Festival for many years. Alongside these drama groups, ITW also has Vocal Vibes, which is an ensemble singing group, and the Dance Company, which is the studio’s competitive dance team. These groups give students many opportunities to perform, work together and build confidence on stage.
Musical Theatre
At ITW, students can join different Musical Theatre Companies where they spend the year rehearsing for a full musical production. Throughout the year, students rehearse songs, scenes and choreography while developing their acting, singing and dancing skills. All their hard work leads up to a final performance of the musical at the end of the year, where they get to perform the show in front of an audience. 🎭🎶
