ITW Singing

Unlock your potential as a singer and discover your inner performer with Singing Classes in Dublin at The Independent Theatre Workshop Clonskeagh and Drumcondra.

Our singing classes focus on both vocal technique and performance, helping students develop their voice, confidence and stage presence in a supportive environment.

We believe tailored instruction is key to developing confident singers. Our one-hour classes have a maximum of 10 Juniors, 6 Inters or 4 Senior students, allowing tutors to give individual attention while still fostering a collaborative and encouraging environment.

More experienced singers may also take private 30-minute lessons, allowing them to fully prepare for Junior and Leaving Cert Practicals, College Auditions and advanced exams - Our experienced singing tutors guide students through the fundamentals of singing, building a solid foundation of vocal technique and musical understanding.

ITW Dublin’s Singing Class Levels:
Junior (1st–3rd Class) → Inters (4th–6th Class) → Seniors (1st–3rd Year) → Young Adults (4th–6th Year)

Group Singing Classes

In our group singing classes, we give students of all ages the chance to develop their voices in a fun, supportive, and collaborative environment. From pre-schoolers exploring songs and rhythm to older students building technique and performance skills, we combine small-group learning with focused guidance to help every singer grow and enjoy making music together.

Private Singing Lessons

We offer private singing lessons that provide focused, one-on-one coaching tailored to each student’s goals and abilities. We help students refine their technique, build confidence, and develop a strong, versatile voice. In every lesson, we work on breath control, projection, vocal support, and interpretation to ensure each performance is expressive and technically secure.

For students preparing for Leinster School of Music and Drama exams, we guide them through musical theatre repertoire, including solo and duet performance, character work, staging, and optional choreography. We also cover mime, drama, and musical understanding, helping students perform with confidence while meeting the technical requirements of their exams.

We support Junior and Leaving Certificate practical music students, helping them select, prepare, and polish pieces to the highest standard. Throughout the year, we run specialist courses and workshops, including Music Theory, Audition Preparation, Acting the Song, and sessions with guest teachers, giving students extra opportunities to grow their skills and enjoy performing.

Vocal Vibes

Vocal Vibes is a show choir that runs at ITW Clonskeagh, open to students from 1st class through to 6th Year, including those from Drumcondra.

The club focuses on creating a fun, energetic, and inclusive space where students can develop their vocal, dance, and performance skills while expressing themselves freely. Everyone is welcome to join, and sessions are designed to be fun and collaborative.

Led by experienced vocal coach Andrew Dawson, Vocal Vibes offers exciting opportunities such as participation in choir competitions and charity events. The emphasis is firmly on enjoyment rather than exams or formal assessments, giving students a chance to build confidence, connect with others, and simply enjoy performance in a supportive environment.
