Creative Drama Classes
We believe creative drama helps students build confidence, imagination, communication, and teamwork through fun, expressive activities. Our drama classes use improvisation, storytelling, theatre games, role‑play and creative thinking to help every student find their voice and enjoy performing. Whether acting out characters, creating scenes, or exploring emotions, students learn skills that support both life and performance.
-
For our youngest performers, we offer playful Tots Creative Drama that encourages confidence and creativity through imaginative play and storytelling. In these age‑appropriate sessions, children enjoy drama games, costume play and acting out simple stories, all in a safe and nurturing environment that helps build early self‑expression and teamwork. The Tots drama class is 30 minutes and paired with Tots Dance and Tots Singing.
-
In our Junior Creative Drama classes, we invite children to explore character, story and play in a lively, supportive setting. We use theatre games, role‑play and improvisation to help students develop confidence, expressive skills and communication as they create scenes and discover new ways to tell stories with their voices, bodies and imagination.
-
Our Intermediate (Inters) Creative Drama gives pre‑teens space to grow both as actors and as individuals. Each week we play confidence‑building improvisation games and work together to create scenes based on themes and stimuli. Students are encouraged to share ideas, collaborate, and experiment with different characters and situations while enjoying a fun, supportive team environment.
-
In Senior Creative Drama, we introduce more structured work that helps students deepen their performance skills. We explore characterisation, script work, audition technique, theatre games and thoughtful scene work, encouraging more complex emotional expression and creative problem‑solving. These classes help students develop confidence, imagination, vocabulary and a strong artistic voice.
-
Our Young Adult Creative Drama classes build on the Senior level but are more intensive and tailored to individual goals. We focus on improvisation, storytelling, character development and movement, helping students refine their performance skills and explore acting for stage and screen. Classes also offer opportunities to devise original work, interpret complex texts, and prepare for auditions or further study in drama and theatre.

Speech and Drama Classes with Public Speaking.
We offer Speech, Drama & Communication classes that help students build confidence, expressive skills, and a deep love of performance. In small classes tailored by age and ability, we explore a wide range of drama styles and genres—from ancient Greek to modern works—developing character work, accents, dialects, and the ability to bring text to life on stage. We also approach poetry and prose in an active, engaging way, encouraging students to perform with insight and creativity rather than just read on the page. Regular exams give students clear goals to work towards and help build confidence as they progress through graded syllabi, including opportunities for advanced qualifications such as an Associate Diploma.
In Speech & Drama, we prepare students for a broad range of graded exams with boards such as the Leinster School of Music & Drama, LAMDA, and Trinity Guildhall, and celebrate outstanding achievements over the years. Students also perform in informal in‑house performance nights at Christmas and in May, giving them regular chances to share their work with family and friends and grow comfortable performing in front of an audience. These classes are especially valuable for older students, supporting classroom‑based assessments in secondary school and helping with English work on Shakespeare, poetry, and literature.
Alongside core Speech & Drama training, we offer specialist courses in Public Speaking and Effective Communicationthat build articulation, listening, critical thinking, and real‑world speaking confidence. For those with a passion for acting, our Solo Acting and advanced Scene Study classes support deeper performance study, characterisation, audition preparation, and even diploma‑level training. With private audition coaching also available, we’re here to help every student thrive and express themselves with clarity, confidence, and joy.
Lyrical / Contemporary Dance
Contemporary/lyrical dance is a style that blends elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance into smooth, flowing movement that focuses on expression and storytelling. At Inter level, students build strong foundations, developing control, technique, and confidence in their movement. In Senior classes, dancers are encouraged to explore their creativity and find their own unique voice and connection to the music. Each class includes a structured warm-up, corner work to develop technique, floor work to help dancers feel comfortable moving through space, and choreography that allows students to express emotion and bring their performance to life.

Private Lessons
Our Private Lessons offer tailored, one-on-one training across two strands in the dance department. The Technique, Strength, and Conditioning track is designed to help dancers build skill, strength, and confidence, providing focused exercises and guidance to accelerate progress at any level. The Choreography Privates allow dancers—primarily our Dance Company students—to work closely with a teacher on a solo routine, refining performance, technique, and artistic expression. Private lessons are available with any of our dance teachers, though availability varies, so we recommend consulting the office to find the best fit for your dancer’s goals.
