Welcome to ITW Studios, Dublin home of The Independent Theatre Workshop Academy of the Performing Arts.

We recommend that all students combine classes from our different Studios to get maximum benefits and value from their time at The Independent Theatre Workshop.
To get the most out of ITW we recommend that all our students take Creative Drama with ITW Dance as a basic membership package in classes divided according to their school year.
ITW Members can add additional classes and avail of generous members only discounts the weekly rate these include Speech & Drama, Jazz Dance, Tap, Singing, Lyrical/Contemporary and ISTD Modern Exam classes.
Weekday and Sunday classes are available individually or as part of a bundle. 2 or more weekly classes at the non-member rate = ITW Membership and allows further classes to be taken at the discounted members rate.
On Saturdays individual classes are not available, we expect our Saturday students to take a combination of Creative Drama and ITW Dance (membership) and they are welcome to add further classes at a discounted price.
If you are keen to perform we would recommend that you join one of our Performance Classes.
Perform with ITW
Our performing companies– ITW Junior Shakespeare Company, ITW Senior Shakespeare Company, ITW Senior Musical Theatre Company, ITW Junior Musical Theatre Company, ITW Inter Dance Company and ITW Senior Dance Company are open only to ITW Members.
Our Youth Theatre – Young Dramatic Arts Theatre Company (16yrs+) is currently open to non-members by audition only and they are expected to contribute to and at YDAfundraising events.
Our Senior Theatre Company will perform a full musical in the Smock Alley Theatre in May.
Our Senior Shakespeare Company will perform "The Tempest" in November in Dublin and Belfast as part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival.
Our Speech & Drama and Singing students also perform in recitals twice a year.
Also ensure your CV and Photo are kept up to date for representation by our ITW Agency and you could get to appear on Stage, Television or Film!
school Terms and dates
Our classes run Sept to May in line with the Primary School Schedule with fees payable in 3 instalments (September, November, and February.) 30 weeks in total. Enrolment is for the full academic year.

We close for Bank holiday weekends and school holidays. Holiday courses are available during these times.
