We are delighted to be taking priority bookings now for our 9th trip to New York City for our 4th, 5th and 6th years. We are planning to travel during the February Mid Term Break.
Every second year we arrange a trip for our older students in 4th,5th or 6th year to travel on a trip of a lifetime to New York City. We are starting our planning now for our next ITW Trip to New York which is planned for February 13th-19th 2026.
I am now taking priority bookings for our Eighth Senior/Young Adult Drama trip to New York for Spring 2026!
(The schedule will be something like this, although it will change a little between now and then):
We will fly to New York JFK at approx 10am on Friday Morning 13th February which brings us into New York at approx 2.30pm local time. We meet our coach for transfer to our hotel.
From there we will head to visit the EDGE for a view from the top of NYC. That evening we will visit Times Square for a bite to eat and to soak up the atmosphere on the famous Red Steps.
Over the next four days we will have an acting and/or dance class with a Broadway professional at the famous Broadway Dance Center. See the Egyptian Exhibit and Degas Dancers at the Metropolitan Museum and take the Behind the Screen tour of the American Museum of the Moving Image where we can also take a workshop in Animation and learn about sound design and film and video editing. We will also make our own radio program in the Museum of Television and Radio. We will take a Comedy Improv class with PIT Theatre NYC. We will walk The High Line and visit Chelsea Market, cross the Brooklyn Bridge and see the Statue of Liberty. These are just some of the things we will experience, we may also visit the iconic NY Drama Bookshop, Ice-Skate at the Rockerfeller Plaza, have a tour and workshop at the Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts –it all depends on time and availability but we can promise it will be a jam packed week in The Big Apple.
We will eat in real American Diners and Deli’s and shop in 5th Avenue and the Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall. On and Off Broadway Shows we could see include the spectacular Death Becomes Her and Betty Boop! let me know what YOU would like to see! The plan is to see 2 shows over the week.
We plan to arrive home early morning the following Thursday.
This 5 night 6 day trip will be the experience of a lifetime and will cost in the region of €1,865. This covers all flights, transfers, Metro Pass, theatre tickets, group insurance, entrance fees, broadway workshops, a class at Broadway Dance Center, demonstrations, and accommodation. We will be confirming up the food bill nearer the time (appprox $250 per person). Everyone will be fully supervised and very well looked after at all times and will only need personal money for souvenirs/shopping (we recommend $500). This will be for TY/5th and 6th yr students at time of travel 15 yrs+.
Once you have booked you will receive a full information pack in January, this will detail the timetable, final arrangements and rules and code of conduct etc.
